This new recipe on the blog is a delicious one for time-saving desserts the kids will love.

Blueberry Dump CakeI had to laugh when I was making this recipe for Blueberry Dump Cake. The first time, my husband asked what I was making, so I told him…His reply? That doesn’t sound very promising Heidy, what in the hell is a Dump Cake anyway? You should have seen the look on his face, too— Priceless isn’t even close. The good news is this has become one of his favorites go-to desserts lately. So score for me!

Have you ever had that scary moment after being asked, what are you making? It’s a bit nerve-racking sometimes when my husband asks what I am making and gets the crazy eyes wondering what I am about to torture him with next. (Literally laughing out loud) I mean, the name Dump Cake sounds so ominous for such a delicious dessert.

I hit the motherload of sales at our Publix Market the other day, and they had a considerable deal 2 for six bucks for Publix brand ice cream, which is pretty damn tasty for a store brand. I bought four, and I only spent 12 dollars. I love a good deal. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy saving their hard-earned money?

I love blueberries. This is a great dessert for bbq parties this summer. I know my guests would love. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to take it over the top.

    1. Thanks for dropping in today. I try to use fresh or frozen, I’m not really a sweets person so this is fitting. The cake batter makes it fairly sweet without sugar. Let me know how you like it.

I love the BOGOs at Publix — and always stock up when its ice cream. Your blueberry dump cake practically screams for a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan (my personal favorite).
