Southern Ham Salad and White Bread go together like two peas and a pod. A delicious homemade Southern Ham salad made with sweet honey ham, celery, red onions, hardboiled boiled eggs, and pickles on a thick-sliced, fresh from the oven tasting white bread we all have come to love in our house.
Summer is in the air here in Florida, and I have been busy planning out the flower gardens on my days off, so as of right now, I am back to making delicious Southern-Style sandwiches to fill our empty bellies at lunch. I have to admit that I’m a little picky about white bread, so sandwich bread is super crucial to the Mister and me.
I am always looking at the product information provided by the brands we invest in at the market. Some of the essential things that enticed me when I checked out a few brands of Hearty White Bread was the softer texture, fresh from the oven taste, and it’s Thick-sliced, has no added colors, no colors or flavors from artificial sources, and no high fructose corn syrup. I felt pretty good about my bread when I placed it in the cart after reading that.
I love to use a good Farmhouse Hearty White Bread with a lovely soft texture and has fresh from the oven taste when I make lunches for me and my honey on busy afternoons. I also like it when the Mister doesn’t complain about the bread, so using the Hearty White Bread today was a win-win situation in my book.
You are going to love this Iconic Southern lunch favorite I am making today, Ham Salad, at it’s best. Our family has been making Ham Salad for generations. It’s so deliciously easy to make it’s ridiculous. Combine ground sweet ham, diced celery, hardboiled eggs, red onions, and pickles. How simple is that, Y’all?
Look how amazing this Hearty White Bread looks, and that delicious Ham Salad tastes are going to taste so darn good on it. Can you taste it, Y’all? Oh, my gosh, I am about to do the happy dance of these sandwiches. I kid you, not friends. Please don’t judge me. I can’t help it; I am starving, and this bread looks to die for right now.

August 5, 2018 at 9:51 amI made this the other day and used dill pickles instead of the sweet, I think I should of just left well enough alone and used sweet. I am going to remake it again because it was good. It’s just I think the pickles messed up your recipe.

August 5, 2018 at 9:50 amHi, quick question? I don’t have a meat grinder and I was wondering if I should use a blender or food processor? I made this and it was so good, but I did a fine dice and just thought It would be better if I did it another way.

August 5, 2018 at 9:58 amGood Morning, Beth, I think it would be better using a food processor if you don’t have a grinder. Pulse it a few times till you get it where you like it and then mix the other ingredients in. You should be fine. Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for stopping by.
