Blackberry Mint Balsamic Dressing is a gorgeous healthy step in the right direction this late spring, combining the fresh delightful flavors of fresh Blackberries, quality balsamic vinegar, garlic, Vidalia onions, pure organic honey, herb garden fresh mint, tarragon and fresh sweet basil.

I love freshly picked blackberries and the health benefits alone are outstanding for your body, and the taste is beyond delicious in my favorite Blackberry Mint Balsamic Dressing I am sharing with you today.

Below you will find my simple to make  Blackberry Mint Balsamic Dressing to get you started on your journey of berry deliciousness and healthiness, my recipe adapted from Coastal Livings Blackberry Vinaigrette recipe. 

Blackberry Mint Balsamic Dressing

  • 1 tablespoon authentic extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced Vidalia onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1-pint fresh organic blackberries
  • 1/3 of a  cup of quality balsamic vinegar
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of pure organic honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped mint
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh tarragon chopped
  • 1/4 of a  teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of authentic extra virgin olive oil


  1. In a medium skillet, heat the 1 tablespoon of authentic extra virgin olive oil over medium heat.
  2. When the authentic olive oil has become hot, add minced Vidalia onions and the minced garlic, stir for 45 seconds.
  3. Add the blackberries and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add balsamic vinegar and stir in, cooking for about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
  5. Transfer to a blender, adding in pure honey, fresh chopped mint, tarragon and fresh chopped basil leaves. blend until smooth. Add kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. Slowly add  1/2 cup of authentic extra virgin olive oil, blending ingredients together until smooth.
